Upper Fix aka Day 2 of 21 day fix!!

So let me just start out with saying upper body isn't something I usually focus on when I do my workouts. However, it totally should be! After completing today's upper fix my arms are sore! I could totally feel the burn while doing each different workout! Autumn walks us through each workout before starting them which is helpful to me being that I'm not really familiar with them! I'm totally looking forward to seeing my progress and results. I've decided to document each day of this so that others can follow along, and maybe even join in? Let me know if you've completed the 21 day fix! I'd love to see your results!!

Why I decided to try the 21 day fix with Team Beach Body!

So I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this package all week! As you can see from the photo above i'm like a kid in a candy store!! I absolutely love the Chocolate Vegan Shakeology! It really is the best of both worlds! I get my chocolate fix plus i'm getting a large serving of vitamins! I never thought that to be possible until one of my fellow military spouses Melissa from MommyMeansBusiness.co shared with me the facts about Shakeology! I figured yeah ok it's healthy....so it must taste like crap! Boy was I wrong!! She was kind enough to share a serving from her bag along with a recipe she thought I'd enjoy! It was delicious and the kids even enjoyed it too!! After trying it and thinking about all of the benefits I decided I was going to buy it! Then I started to see posts about the 21 day Fix workout with people's before and after photos. Our family will be going on vacation at the end of July and I'm so close to being where I want to be for bikini season, but I felt doing the 21 day fix would help me achieve those results in the time frame I have left! With that being said I decided to purchase the 21 day Fix Challenge pack! It comes with everything seen in this picture!! I will be ending day 21 the day I leave for my cruise! I will do a follow up post with before and after photos to show the progress I've made within those 21 days! I'm looking forward to seeing the progress myself as well as inspiring others! Zombie Barbie Halloween look

Did someone say zombie apocalypse?! Quick run for the hills...just kidding! Today I decided to dabble in my Halloween makeup to get my creative juices flowing. We're just 5 away from one of the funniest days of the year...HALLOWEEN!! This look is super easy to achieve. Here's a list of items I used.

  • Liquid latex
  • cheap toilet paper
  • foundation
  • white sfx contacts (optional)
  • theatrical blood
  • NYX jumbo pencil is red, white, and black
  • putty wax
  • eye shadows - deep purple, black, grey.
You can find almost all of these items in your local Spirit Halloween store. Makeup items can be substituted with anything you have at home that's like it! Contacts were purchased at the makeup show this past March. Hope this look gives you some inspiration for your Halloween looks!!

Skull Face Mia

Hey everyone! So I wanted to practice some face painting. Seeing that Halloween is near I chose a skull face. I wanted to practice on my daughter, but that might have been a bad choice! I should have known she wouldn't be able to sit still long enough for me to complete the entire look. LOL All in all she was a trooper though. This look is super easy to recreate if you're thinking of turning your face into a skull for Halloween. Products that I used are pretty basic and very affordable! Here is what you'll need to recreate:
NYX Jumbo pencil in Black and White.
A black eyeliner.
A brush to blend the black and white together to make grey tones
A brush used for lining eyes to create the teeth

I wasn't able to complete the entire look so bare with me! I do plan of trying to create a few more looks before Halloween =)

Outfit Of The Day: Royal Summer

The weather is finally starting to warm up here in the Bay area! My family and I took family photos and this is what I wore without the rainbow aviators of course! I absolutely love the fit of this dress! I came across it while shopping at Target! I wasn't able to find it online, but you could find it in store. The retail price is $24.99.  I purchase my Rainbow Aviators from express and they retail for $29.90.  I also purchased these Gladiator Vamp Wedges from express for $69.90. The necklace was purchased from Cookie Lee but you can find many similar necklaces out on the market right now!

I shot this photo with my Canon Rebel t5

Hello again everyone! Today I bring to you an outfit of the day post! These photo's were shot by my awesome hubby! We took a trip down to Baker Beach in San Francisco. These particular photo's were taken from the Presidio Overlook. The view is stunning! You get a breath taking view of the Golden Gate Bridge from this particular overlook. We stayed and watched the sunset. The view is priceless!  And the entire family truly enjoyed this outing!

I am wearing this salmon Lace Yoke Zip Back Peplum top by: Express Clothing I also paired it with their Aztec Sexy Stretch Leggings. Heels are from Bakers Shoes
